How to delete your account in the app

Open the Camping Explorer app
Sign in with the account you want to delete. Account deletion is only available while you are logged in.

Go to More → Account
Open the More tab, then find Delete account under the Account section.

Confirm by typing delete account
Read the confirmation notice, then type delete account exactly in the text field. This helps prevent accidental deletions.

Tap Delete my account
Your account is deleted immediately. You will be signed out and will need to register again if you want to use signed-in features later.
What we delete
- Your account profile (name, email, and hashed password)
- Saved favourites
- Your ratings and comments
- Pending camping site suggestions you submitted
- Pending site deletion requests you filed
- Active sign-in sessions and refresh tokens
What may remain
Published camping sites that were already approved may remain in the public catalogue so other explorers can still find them. Personal identifiers tied to those listings are cleared or anonymised.
Feedback messages you already sent may be retained without a user link for support and product improvement.
Limited technical logs or backups may persist for a short period for security and reliability.
Need help?
If you cannot access the app or need help deleting your account, email app.campingexplorer@gmail.com from the email address on your account. We will verify the request and complete deletion.
